The History of Holy Trinity Online Centre

In 2006 Dazz found out about the centre and joined as a volunteer. In 2009 the Windows 2000 computers we were using were out of date and need to be replaced. Computers become out of date when the software they run cannot be updated anymore and the hardware becomes unreliable after years of continuous use. Roger somehow found the funding to replace the old computers with new Acer Windows XP computers that were installed and set up by Dazz and David. The computers were bought from CMOS technology in Stafford Street Walsall who also installed the CCTV.

Dazz ran many beginners classes for people new to computing. He can also repair computers that people have brought in for him to fix. Dazz and David would help with any computer problems that people were having while using the centre including laptops, tablets or mobile phones. Dazz helped set up a photography group on Tuesdays. This is well attended and has run for many years . The Bloxwich Community Partnership centre in Elmore Row Bloxwich became involved in the computer centre for a while and ran many classes including some by Martin who worked at the centre for about three years. In March 2010 the computer centre won an award that was presented at the 12th Walsall Lifelong Learning Awards evening at Bescot Stadium. The award was "The Rubery Owen Learning with Technology Award" and it was presented to the Holy Trinity Church ITC Support Team, Roger, Dazz and David by the rugby player Austin Healey.

In 2014 all of the Acer computers had the Windows XP software removed and replaced with Windows 7 software. The server computer software was also upgraded to suit Windows 7 on the workstations.
